Dance Classes at Lord of Life Christian Preschool

We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new opportunity for our preschoolers — weekly dance classes right here at school!

Starting October 21 (Monday classes) and October 23 (Thursday classes), students can join our on-site Webby Dance Company classes from 12:00–12:45pm. Families can choose either Monday or Thursday, whichever fits best!

Children will go directly to or from their regular class, making this a seamless and fun extension of the school day.

Through our partnership with Webby Dance Company, a trusted provider of preschool enrichment programs, students will enjoy age-appropriate dance instruction led by Webby’s own dance instructors. Each class is designed to nurture confidence, coordination, and creativity — all while having fun!

Program Details:

Begins October 21 (Mondays) & October 23 (Thursdays)
12:00pm–12:45pm (onsite at the preschool)
$65/month (October prorated)
One-time registration fee: $28
Payments made directly to Webby (separate from preschool tuition)

It’s not too late to join the fun!

It’s not too late to join our preschool family! We have a few last-minute openings available for the 2025-2026 school year at Lord of Life Christian Preschool in West Chester, OH.

Our preschool is a place where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. Every classroom roots learning experiences in the Creative Curriculum, which means children explore big ideas through hands-on play, meaningful projects, and joyful discovery. The routines and environment are consistent across all ages, and teachers adjust materials and guidance so that each child is challenged and supported at just the right level. Available Openings

5’s Afternoon Class (Pre-K) — Monday–Thursday afternoons
For children getting ready for kindergarten. We focus on independence, early reading and math skills, problem-solving, and leadership in a playful, engaging setting.

4’s Morning Class — Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings
Children build confidence with early literacy and math concepts, while practicing collaboration, curiosity, and creativity in small groups and center time.

3’s & 4’s Combined Afternoon Class — Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons
A mixed-age group where younger children learn from older peers and everyone grows in social skills, independence, and early academics through shared projects and play.

2.5-Year-Old Class — Wednesday mornings
A gentle, playful introduction to preschool. Our youngest learners practice routines, build language, and explore new materials in a safe and supportive environment.

Director’s Update: September 19th, 2025

Hi Families,

Happy Friday, tonight is our movie night under the stars! Arrive at 6:45pm to set up your movie spot, take a picture at our movie night photo booth, and play on the playground! The movie will start between 7:30-7:45 depending on sunlight. We will be watching Moana 2. Popcorn is provided please bring a drink, additional snacks, blankets, chairs, or anything else you need to get comfy and enjoy a movie under the stars. I hope to see you there!

Picture Day

Picture day is next week! All 3-5 year old classes will take both individual and group pictures. If you would like siblings photographed together please bring them in before school at 9am either day. Our Busy Bees can take optional photos before school at 9am, these students will not be photographed during class time. NO money is due at this time but please return the completed envelope, this envelope serves as consent for your child’s picture to be taken.

September 24: Lions, Cheetahs, Tigers, and Zebras
September 25: Penguins and Bears

Fall Field Trip

Permission forms have gone home for our fall farm field trips! Our 4 and 5 year old classes will visit Niederman Farm and our 3 year old classes will visit Barn-n-Bunk. All Details are provided on the field trip form. Please remember parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from the event as well as supervision during the event. Please turn in forms and money to your child’s teacher no later than 10/1 (4’s and 5’s classes) and 10/2 (3’s classes).

Toileting

Please remember that students in the 3-5 year old classes are required to have independent bathroom skills. Please dress your child in clothing that is easy for them to pull up and down independently. Practice the skills of wiping, flushing, and pulling underwear and pants up and down at home so they are comfortable doing this in the school environment.

Safety and Security

After the community incident requiring lockdown of Lakota schools yesterday, I want to assure you that your students are safe here at LOLCP. As soon as our teachers learned of the lockdown at neighboring public schools due to a community incident our afternoon teachers worked quickly to get our students inside from the playground. This morning I spent a good amount of time on the phone with Lieutenant Beiser from the West Chester Police Department. We are working together on a plan to make sure our preschool is notified directly about any community incidents or threats that would require us to be extra vigilant and/or enact our lockdown protocol. Our staff will be participating in an ALICE training with the West Chester Police Department this year. We already practice quarterly lockdown drills with our students in an age appropriate manner talking about our school safety squirrel and stranger danger and have a disaster plan in place for security and weather related events. The safety and security of your preschooler is our number one priority.

The classrooms are ready, the playground is waiting, and the hallways are buzzing with anticipation — the new school year is here! We’re so excited to welcome our preschool families, both returning and brand new, into another year of learning, growth, and joyful moments together.

First Day Smiles

The first day of school is a special milestone for every child — and every parent. Whether your little one is stepping into our classrooms for the first time or racing back to see familiar friends and teachers, we want their transition to feel calm, happy, and full of excitement.

Morning Classes: 9:30am – 12:00pm (prompt pick-up at 12:00pm)
Afternoon Classes: 12:45pm – 3:15pm (prompt pick-up at 3:15pm)

Drop-Off Routine

Make sure your child uses the restroom and washes their hands before class.
Model confidence and say a quick, cheerful goodbye at the classroom door.
Parents cannot enter classrooms — teachers will greet children and help them get settled inside.
Teachers will take special care to support children who may feel nervous or need a little extra comfort.

What to Bring

Bring a backpack with:
- A full change of clothes (labeled, if possible).
- Any additional items requested by your child’s teacher.

Parents,

I hope you have an amazing Spring Break and Easter with your Family. We are headed up to NE Ohio to see my newest grandson and his 3 brothers! I LOVE Grandma life!!! It is the best!!

THANKS A MILLION for all of those who volunteered or donated to our Annual Kids Only Rummage Sale!! It was a HUGE success and we could have not done it without all of your help! A huge Thank you to Beth Fenech, our Rummage Sale guru!! She no longer has a child at LOLCP, her daughter Kenley is in Kindergarten but still runs the enormous event and has committed to next year. We are so blessed to have her!! We raised over $5,600.00, the most we have ever raised, by far!

Fun Friday class for 3 year olds – See attached, this is a wonderful class, the kids love it! If you have an incoming Penguin or Bear and are interested in this enrichment class, please let me know.

I have 1 VERY PART TIME job opening for the 25-26 school year. It is only Weds mornings (with a possibility of adding Monday mornings in Jan.). It is an assistant teacher for the Busy Bees with Ms Traci. If you or anyone you know would be interested, have them get in contact with me. Bonus 50% off of tuition.

Chapel time was so much fun! The Fruit of the Spirit this month is Faithfulness. Angie brought in her

“pet dog Emma” (a stuffed dog) and Pastor Lowell played the part beautifully. She talked about how our

pets are faithful and love us no matter what, like Jesus. We sang “When the Storm Roars” and” Jesus

Loves Me”. We only have one more Chapel before school ends, so we need to hit Gentleness and Self

Control. There is never enough time to talk about Self Control, especially with Preschoolers, but this is

What to Expect from LOLCP Summer Fun Camps

May 27-30: Swashbuckling School – Ahoy, mateys! Young pirates will sail the seas, go on treasure hunts, and create their own pirate crafts in this high-seas adventure.

June 2-5: Under the Sea – Dive deep into the wonders of the ocean! Campers will explore sea creatures, enjoy water-themed activities, and create ocean-inspired crafts.

June 23-26: Color Our World Art – Little artists will experiment with colors, textures, and different artistic styles while learning about famous artists and making their own masterpieces.

June 30-July 3: Whooz at the Zoo? – A wild adventure awaits as kids learn about zoo animals, their habitats, and engage in animal-themed crafts, games, and imaginative play.

Who Can Attend? Children ages 3-6 (potty trained) are welcome to join. Camps are designed for preschoolers and rising kindergarteners.

Cost: $100 per child per camp (sorry, no sibling discount).

How to Register: Camps are first come, first served. To secure a spot, complete the registration form and submit payment to Paula (checks payable to LOLCP). Additional paperwork is required for non-LOLCP students.
